Terms of service

Effective from: 22 October 2026

This is a translation of the terms in Swedish, which are at sendora.se/terms. If the two differ, the Swedish terms govern.

1. Parties

The Sendora service is provided by Sendora, the sole trader Anthon Fredriksson, organisation number 940127-7158, VAT registration number SE940127715801, Greta Arwidssons gata 18E, 621 37 Visby, Sweden (“Sendora”).

The Customer is the company, sole trader, public authority or other organisation that has created an account (“the Customer”). The Customer may be in Sweden or in another country. The service is not sold to consumers. Anyone who creates the account or accepts the terms on the Customer’s behalf confirms that they have the right to bind the Customer.

2. The agreement

The agreement is entered into when the account is created, on the terms that the Customer accepts at that time. Until Sendora has approved the account, the agreement covers test servers only, and the service is then free of charge. When Sendora approves the account, the agreement covers the whole service. If Sendora does not approve the account, the agreement ends when Sendora tells the Customer so.

The agreement consists of

If the parts conflict, the data processing agreement prevails in matters of personal data. Otherwise these terms prevail over the rules, and the rules over the price list.

3. The service

Sendora relays transactional email. These are messages that the Customer’s systems send to the Customer’s users and customers because of an action or a relationship, such as receipts, invoices, notifications and sign-in links. The service also relays broadcasts: newsletters, service information and other mail to many recipients, on a broadcast stream. The service also receives email for the addresses and domains that the Customer has pointed at the service, and hands it to the Customer’s systems through webhooks and the API. The acceptable use rules state what may be sent and received.

The Customer reaches the service through an API and through SMTP, and manages it on the website. The documentation on sendora.se describes what the service does at any given time.

The Customer can create a test server to try its systems against the service. A test server accepts, checks, stores and reports messages as a live server does, but never delivers them to any recipient. Addresses at simulator.sendora.se produce bounces, deferrals and complaints on a test server, and a live server rejects them. A test server does not receive email. Whether a server is a test server is decided when it is created and does not change afterwards.

4. Account and approval

A person who represents the Customer creates the account. The account may deliver and receive email only once Sendora has reviewed and approved it. Sendora decides at its own discretion whether an account is approved, and need not give reasons for a refusal. The Customer is responsible for the details about the Customer being correct and up to date.

The Customer is responsible for everything done with the Customer’s API keys, SCIM tokens and sign-in details, and must keep them secret. If the Customer suspects that a key or a token has gone astray, the Customer must revoke it in the service and tell Sendora.

An app is connected to the service when a person who represents the Customer approves it. The Customer is also responsible for everything that a connected app does within what that person has approved. If the app does something that the Customer does not want, the Customer must disconnect it in the service.

If the Customer connects the account to its own identity provider, by SSO or SCIM, the Customer is also responsible for everything done in the account through it. This covers the people whom the service signs in through it and the users whom it adds, changes or deactivates.

5. The Customer’s obligations

The Customer must

6. Prices and payment

The price is a monthly fee that includes a volume of email, and after that a price per email in steps. The price list is on sendora.se. The price list in force when a calendar month began applies to that month. Prices are stated excluding VAT, which is added as the law requires.

The Customer pays with a card that the Customer saves with the payment service Mollie. On the first day of each calendar month, Sendora invoices the monthly fee for the month that begins and the usage during the month that has passed. The first month therefore has no monthly fee. Mollie emails the invoice and charges the amount to the card. A customer that needs to pay by invoice agrees this with Sendora, and then has thirty days to pay.

If a card payment fails, Sendora tries again after three and after seven days, and when the Customer has saved a new card. If the amount is still unpaid after fourteen days, the account’s ability to send is paused until it is paid. Sendora may also pause the account if an invoice is not paid on time, and close the account if payment is still missing more than thirty days after a reminder.

Email from test servers is not charged. It does not count towards the volume included in the monthly fee, but towards a separate monthly limit that the account’s test servers share.

Sendora gives notice of price changes by email at least thirty days before they take effect.

7. Term and termination

The agreement runs until further notice. Each period is a calendar month, and there is no minimum term beyond the current period. The Customer terminates the agreement with effect from the end of the period, on the Billing page in the service or by email to support@sendora.se.

Sendora may terminate the agreement on thirty days’ notice. Sendora may terminate it with immediate effect if

Fees already paid are not refunded when the agreement is terminated because the Customer has breached it.

When the agreement ends, the Customer’s data is erased as the data processing agreement provides.

8. Availability and support

Sendora promises no particular availability, but aims for high availability. Support is given by email to support@sendora.se, in Swedish or English, and Sendora answers as soon as it can.

9. Changes to the service and the terms

Sendora may develop the service and change these terms and the acceptable use rules. The data processing agreement changes only as that agreement itself provides.

A change that restricts the Customer’s rights is notified by email at least thirty days before it takes effect. If the Customer does not accept the change, the Customer may terminate the agreement with effect from the end of the period. A change that the law or a decision of an authority requires, or that is needed to protect the service or the recipients, may take effect sooner. New features and corrections may be introduced without notice.

10. Personal data

Sendora processes personal data on the Customer’s behalf as a processor under the data processing agreement. Sendora processes data about the Customer’s own representatives as a controller under the privacy policy.

11. Liability

Sendora’s total liability for loss under the agreement is limited to the fees that relate to the service for the three months before the event that gives rise to the claim. The limit also applies to the data processing agreement.

Sendora is not liable for

An interruption in receiving is a delay, not a loss. The service tells the sender’s server that a message has been received only once it is stored, and a sending server tries again for several days.

This does not apply to mail over the account’s cap on received mail. Over the cap, the service temporarily rejects new mail until the month ends or the cap is raised. A sending server gives up after a few days, so such mail may be lost. The cap is stated in the documentation.

The limitations do not apply in the case of intent or gross negligence. Nor do they restrict a data subject’s own right to compensation under Article 82 of the General Data Protection Regulation.

The Customer must make any claim against Sendora in writing within three months of when the Customer noticed, or should have noticed, what the claim is based on.

The Customer is responsible for the content of its messages and for its recipient lists. The Customer indemnifies Sendora against claims by third parties that are based on the Customer’s messages, or on the Customer having breached section 5 or the acceptable use rules. This also covers reasonable costs of responding to such claims.

12. Confidentiality

Each party keeps the other’s non-public information confidential and uses it only for the agreement. This does not apply when the law, a decision of an authority or a court requires the information to be disclosed. Sendora then tells the Customer, if this is allowed.

Sendora reads the content of the Customer’s messages only when this is needed to handle a fault or an abuse case, and then by as few people as possible.

13. Intellectual property

The service and its software belong to Sendora. The Customer’s messages and data belong to the Customer. Sendora may process them only to provide the service.

14. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for failing to perform the agreement because of a circumstance outside its control that it could not reasonably have foreseen or avoided. Examples are power cuts, an outage at a supplier of infrastructure, decisions of authorities and attacks on infrastructure.

15. Assignment and notices

The Customer may not assign the agreement without Sendora’s written consent. Sendora may assign the agreement to a company that takes over the business, and then tells the Customer by email.

Notices under the agreement are sent by email: from Sendora to the account’s administrators, and from the Customer to support@sendora.se.

16. Governing law and disputes

Swedish law applies, without its rules on choice of law. Disputes are decided by the general courts, with Stockholm District Court as the court of first instance.
